How it all started…

319 the label is the dream come to life for creator Glenna Michelle. Glenna started designing and sewing when she was 9 years old and proclaimed that she could only ever work in fashion. Upon graduating from Texas Christian University for Fashion Design and Merchandising, she moved to New York to pursue a career in the fashion industry. Glenna has worked for companies such as Michael Kors, Barneys New York, Elaine Turner, Ralph Lauren, Gap and Coach. Cultivating an extensive knowledge of the industry, she has worked with branding, marketing, visual merchandising and design teams.

After 6 years of working, and living in New York, Melbourne, Australia and London, England, Glenna realized she couldn’t find new, interesting, yet simple styles while shopping. “Fast Fashion” meant that many of the products she could afford weren’t ethically created or up to her standard of quality, and created a lot of waste that harms the environment. The more luxury products that are sometimes made more ethically and usually with higher quality, were out of her price range. But ethical or quality standards still couldn’t be guaranteed. And the middle ground price points did not appeal to her style. So she decided to do something about it.

319 The Label is a fashion lifestyle. Taking staple styles for all ages and adding a twist and a flare. Each mini collection that is created is specifically designed to add to a person’s wardrobe, not just take space in a closet. And every piece can be mixed and matched within the collection and worn for years to come. Her collections are made with a woman’s ever different body in mind for a flattering fit that makes her clients strut with confidence. As quality control and ethical manufacturing are of great importance to the designer, each garment is handmade in America.
